Welcome back to my Currently Inked Pens—Week 14—and yes, I went a little wild this week. Last week I had zero disagreeables (everything worked perfectly, thank you very much), but I felt like I didn’t have enough pens inked up to keep my letter-writing interesting… so I inked up “just a couple.” Thirteen. No notice. Just a couple of pens. In this lineup I’m running everything from a red Wingong 630 (medium) with Diamine Cranberry that basically matches the pen, to a Narwhal Voyage Pride 2024 with a double broad nib and Pelikan Edelstein Apricot Ahat for that peachy-orange pop. I’ve got shimmer all over the place—Ferris Wheel Press Buttered Popcorn “Twinkle” (because I added gold shimmer particles), Diamine Subzero and Diamine “Burr” in ultra-flex Noodler’s Conrads (remember to jostle your shimmer!), and Pelikan Edelstein Golden Lapis in an ADMOCK M800 Ocean Swirl for that bright punchy blue with gold sparkle. I also revisit old favorites like Noodler’s Rome Burning, and I’m still completely obsessed with Diamine Astral—if you don’t want yours, send it my way. At the end, I swatch everything so you can see the cranberry sheen, the sparkles, the blues, the purples, and my trusty desk pen inked with Take-Sumi.
