About This Video

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Marilyn Darling Show—Week 12 edition. In this bullet journal setup I’m flipping through my Travelers Notebook and my “keep moving forward” notebook to catch you up on the week: I went with Natalie to grab two pies from Food for Less, then headed to the OC Pen Club where I got to play with all my pen friends (and yes: pens, paper, and ink). It was Pi Day, I wrote “Happy Pi Day,” ate dinner, had pie… then more pie, and rounded it out watching Gary Eves. Truly a great day—minus my throat trying to sabotage the entire episode. I also do the real-life stuff: I paid both credit cards, handled the Yahoo bill, and looked ahead to the cell phone and internet bills (which never seem to hit the same day twice). I talk planners too—this Kinbor has been super duper good for me: gorgeous shading, no feathering like a chicken, and no bleed-through except for certain naughty inks (looking at you, Noodler’s). Then we plan the week (birthdays, trash day, and a free artist date to the Hilbert Museum), and I wrap it up by choosing next week’s ink review lineup: Blood Falls, Shoreline Gold, Van Dieman’s Hastings Cave, Robert Oster Tulip Field Shimmer Ink, and Diamine Marine—plus a couple mystery swatches if I’m feeling feisty.
