Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Marilyn Darling Show—this is my Bujo Setup for Week 9 of my 2026 calendar, and I’m basically walking you through what actually happened in my life and what I’m setting up next. I start in my blathering journal (because yes, I have to remember where I left off), then I flip into my travel journal to recap the Black Raven Marketplace—where I taught basic calligraphy from 11 to 5 and met all kinds of nice people—and then the Los Angeles pen show, which was… a lot. Like Disneyland, but you can’t turn around. Fun, but I’m done with people for a little while. I also check in on goals (pen show, OC Pen Club meeting, and my very-not-caught-up letter writing), money spent (spoiler: I didn’t buy a pen or ink, and I still didn’t find my grail pen or Numiki black), and gifts—like the butterfly pen and the “bloop pens” from Jim Edwards with that canite flex nib situation. Then I get into the week’s little life bits: Star Trek as my calm-down TV, my keychain collection, my tiny collections (butterflies, tattoos, stickers), and even my steps for the week.
