First, we head to breakfast at a spot the locals love, Monument Café! This retro diner reminded me of the diner I would visit with my Grandparents as a young girl. The food was unique & delicious - we really enjoyed all of our food for breakfast! Our visit to Inner Space Cavern was delayed by one day after arriving late in the afternoon & finding all the cave tours to be booked! *PRO TIP* Get there early! We came back the next day & were able to experience the entire tour with our amazing guide, Tina. She did a great job sharing the history behind the cave - dating back 25million years! Lastly we headed to 600* Pizzeria for Texas sized slices of pie! The food here was delicious as well. You will not be disappointed by the quirky combinations of ingredients on these slices of pizza. Once you finish your meal, head over to 600* Pizzeria Market Place to pickup some of their best food & drinks on the go! Check back next week for our second day in Georgetown featuring more yummy food & a fun and unique location to visit right off Hwy 35! About This Video

In this Georgetown, Texas episode, I’m taking you along for a full-on family day trip: breakfast, caves, and Texas-sized pizza. We started at Monument Café, a locally owned spot designed to feel like those old Texas roadside cafés from back in the day. It was loud inside, so we grabbed our order plan outside (Amigas for Brad, eggs florentine for me, avocado toast for Jordan, and Zoe was on a biscuits-and-gravy mission). Everything was seriously delicious—yes, even the avocado toast surprised me—and if you like Mexican flavors at all, I’m telling you, get the Amigas. After that, we tried to hit Inner Space Cavern… and learned the hard way that showing up late is a mistake. The tours were booked, so we pivoted to 600° Pizzeria, where we couldn’t film because it’s a bar-style atmosphere, but the food was unreal. Brad’s San Jose slice might be the best pizza he’s ever had, and I loved the Georgetown slice with pesto, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Then we came back to the cavern the next day (pro tip: go early), toured with our high-energy guide Tina, and learned how this place was discovered during I-35 drilling—plus it’s estimated to be around 25 million years old. Georgetown totally delivered, and we’ll be back.
