In this video, I walk you through my full OpenClaw VPS setup on Hostinger (this project was previously called Clawdbot). The goal is simple: get OpenClaw deployed in one click, add your AI provider keys, confirm the dashboard is working, and then connect Telegram so you can message your assistant from anywhere. I use Hostinger because it makes the deployment ridiculously easy and it’s a very cost-effective way to start, especially if you choose the KVM2 plan, which is the one I recommend for smooth performance and future scaling. After the VPS is created, I show you exactly what to do with the OpenClaw Gateway Token (make it visible, copy it, and store it like a password). Then we add API keys—first Anthropic (Claude), then OpenAI—making sure billing is enabled, because if billing isn’t active your requests won’t work. I also explain the pricing reality: OpenClaw is free, but OpenAI/Anthropic are usage-based, so don’t spam test messages during setup—start simple and monitor your usage dashboards. Finally, I connect Telegram using BotFather: create a new bot, copy the bot token into OpenClaw, start the bot, and complete pairing with the pairing code (and sometimes your Telegram ID). Once that’s done, you can chat with your assistant directly inside Telegram and even confirm which API it’s using so you can track costs.
