In this video, I show you how to set up your first Google Ads Search campaign step by step in a way that actually makes sense for beginners. I start by explaining what Google Ads is (sponsored results vs. organic SEO), then I walk you through creating your account—but I also show you how to exit Google’s onboarding early by choosing “Set up an account only,” so you stay in control instead of letting Google auto-pick a bunch of settings. From there, we build the campaign the clean way: campaign → ad groups → keywords → ads. I show you the bidding setup I recommend for brand-new campaigns (maximize clicks with a max CPC limit), why ad quality matters alongside your bid, and the campaign settings that actually move the needle—like turning off networks, tightening location targeting (including radius + exclusions), and setting location options to “Presence.” Then we do real keyword research using Google search + Keyword Planner (and I download the data to Google Sheets), set up phrase match keywords, write headlines/descriptions based on what’s already working in the market, and add sitelinks. Finally, I cover the part most people skip: conversion tracking.
