Hey, I’m Caleb from Metics Media, and in this video I walk you through how to self-host Supabase on a Hostinger VPS step by step. I start with the VPS purchase and setup, and I show you the exact template I use so this stays beginner-friendly: Coolify (running on Ubuntu). I also explain which plan I’d pick for Supabase (KVM 2) and why, then we go into Coolify, create our first project, and deploy Supabase using the built-in template so you can get to a “running healthy” state without guessing. After the deployment is up, I show you the most important part if you want to connect real apps: grabbing and saving your Supabase project URL plus your anon key and service key from the environment variables. Then we log into the Supabase dashboard and I break down what Edge Functions are used for (webhooks, external APIs, anything you don’t want exposed in the frontend) and what’s different when you’re self-hosting. Finally, I secure everything with HTTPS and a clean custom subdomain by adding a DNS A record in Hostinger and updating the Supabase Kong domain in Coolify (including the required :8000). By the end, you’ve got a production-ready Supabase dashboard you can trust and connect to tools like Lovable or Base44.
