Meet the Ups & Downs Theatre Group, winners of This Morning's Pride of Britain Local Hero Award🎭

Founded by President Lorna Leggatt, and supported by dedicated teacher Karen, this amazing group has been championing inclusion and creativity for over 20 years. Ellis, one of the group’s longest standing members, shows that with the right support and opportunities, people with Down syndrome can shine bright on every stage. 💬 Lorna says: “Young people with Down syndrome can be funny, frail, musical, mischievous, wilful and witty, just like everyone else. They are individuals with their own hopes and dreams, and above all, they love to sing and dance.
