“Having a learning disability does not define who you are. It makes you more resilient." Meet Arjhay. He says having a paid job has helped him grow in confidence and independence. After completing his supported internship through Mencap at Boots and Chopstix, Arjhay secured a paid role and is now now working as a front of house server at Chopstix. Arjhay is part of Mencap's Job Squad, showing that people with a learning disability have the skills, talent and ambition to succeed at work when given the opportunity.
