Patrise for Learning Disability Week 2026

Patrise has a message for employers. Through Mencap's supported internship programme, Patrise gained the skills, confidence and experience she needed to secure her dream job as a dog grooming assistant. Too many people with a learning disability are still overlooked when it comes to employment. Patrise's story shows what's possible when people are given the opportunity to shine.
