Degens' First Rodeo Presents: Lovestitched | Short Film [48-Hour Film Project] V858

Our prior creation, "Ghosting," competed in the local 48-Hour Film Project in Houston, facing off against 27 other teams. Despite it being our inaugural attempt, we clinched the 2nd spot in the Houston division, earning us the chance to compete on a global scale. The top three winners from every corner of the globe had the privilege to compete again, with the top 15 heading to Filmapalooza and the top 8 teams earning a spot at the Cannes Film Festival! The competition's premise was straightforward: on Friday, December 1st, at 7 PM, all participating teams received their film details. From that moment, we had to conceptualize, shoot, edit, and submit our film by Sunday, December 3rd, at 7:30 PM! Here are the specifics we were given: Genre: COMEDY Character: SAM or SAMANTHA MORGANSTITCH Profession: HOBBYIST Dialogue: “YOU CAN COUNT ON ME!” Prop: A GIFT So, keep these details in mind as you watch the film! We were up against 100+ teams globally, and while the winners haven't been announced yet, we're hoping for the best! Regardless of the outcome, I'm proud of the film we crafted and the new friendships that blossomed in the process.
