Degens' First Rodeo Presents: Ghosting 'Director's Cut' | Short Film [48-Hour Film Project] | V850

Over a span of 2-3 weeks, our team grew to about 15 members. We decided to call ourselves “Degens’ First Rodeo” because it was our first time joining a short film contest – our first rodeo, you could say. We entered a national contest called the 48-Hour Film Project in the Houston, TX division. The idea was simple: on Friday, October 6th, at 7 PM, all the participating teams got the details for their films. From that moment on, we had to write, film, edit, and submit our film by Sunday, October 8th, at 7:30 PM. Here are the details we received for our film: Genre: COMEDY Character: BART KATHAGEN Character Job: RODEO BUSINESS Dialogue: “MM-MM THAT SMELLS GOOD!” Prop: FRAMED PHOTO When you watch the film, keep these details in mind. We were up against 27 other teams in the Houston area, and while the winners haven't been announced yet, we hope for the best! If we win in the Houston Division, we'll move on to Filmapalooza in Lisbon, Portugal, and from there, the winner gets a shot at the Cannes Film Festival. No matter what happens, I'm proud of the film we made and the new friendships I've made in the process.
