I also chat a little beauty over 40—my short haircut has been getting so many compliments, and honestly it’s been a healthier move for me as I’m dealing with hair loss. I’d rather keep it short and healthy than long and straggly. I start with travel and body care (that Vera Bradley rolling duffle saved me on a quick birthday getaway), then we get into Bath & Body Works favorites—Vanilla Romance has me in a chokehold, plus the Emily in Paris Macaroon Cloud set and some skincare I wasn’t even ready for. From there I share a few beauty pickups for dry skin and travel, including Youth To The People minis, a Fenty powder foundation I’m testing for women over 40, and a Clinique hydrator. Then we go luxury: Burberry Goddess (refillable!), Michael Kors shimmer boots and a matching mini bag/wallet, and Tory Burch mixed-metal studs, loafers, and my matte black Willa tote—perfect for carrying my laptop, church notebook, and everyday essentials.
