In this video I put the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 head-to-head with the Sony ZV-E10 II to figure out which one is the best budget filmmaking option for vloggers and filmmakers. I took both cameras on real adventures (including mounting the Pocket 3 to my friend’s truck), and I also dropped downloadable files so you can play with the grade yourself. We talk price right away ($669 vs $1099), then dive into low light, cinematic settings, autofocus, photo samples, 4K video samples, audio, stabilization, portability, features, and battery life. Both cameras are honestly impressive in low light, especially if you’re like me and you shoot log for better dynamic range and cleaner results. I show my go-to “cinematic” setups: on Pocket 3 it’s basically a swipe away (I’m usually in D-Log M), and on the ZV-E10 II I’m in XAVC S 4K, 10-bit, max bitrate, and I overexpose S-Log3 around +1.3 to +1.7 with S-Gamut3.Cine. The big takeaway: if you only care about video and want the easiest, most creator-friendly setup (gimbal + wireless mic integration + portability), Pocket 3 is the move. If you need that bigger APS-C sensor and you’re more of a hybrid shooter, the ZV-E10 II makes sense—just don’t ignore the stabilization/lens tradeoffs.
