Donate here on YouTube or head over to www.TeamTrees.org to donate! Lets plant 20 million trees together!! We had a blast planting these trees! We started by going to TeamTrees.org and donating $10, I matched the $5 that my son wanted to donate. Once we had those 10 trees planted, we decided to plant 3 more! This was a lot harder than expected just to plant three trees. We started by digging a hole that was one and a half times as big as the root ball and just a little shallower than the ball was tall. From what we were told you want to make sure your apple tree is planted at or just above the ground level. (But not bellow!!) Once the hole was dug, we roughed up the root ball before packing the ground back in around the tree. Once securely covered, we watered the tree slowly and thoroughly. Because our trees will be in an area that has a lot of white tail deer traffic as well as rabbit traffic we made sure to add some plastic corrugated pipe around the trunk. This will help deter animal damage for the first couple of years while the tree gets established.
