We Made a Minecraft Diamond Sword… Out of Epoxy and Wood! 🗡️ We’re big fans of Minecraft, so we set out to bring one of its most iconic items to life—a full-sized Diamond Sword—using epoxy resin and hardwood scraps from the shop! 🔨 Here’s How We Did It: We started by designing and building custom molds for the resin parts of the sword. After mixing epoxy and adding pigments (linked below), we poured the colored resin and let it cure. While waiting, we prepped our wood—walnut, redwood, and maple—since that’s what we had on hand. Once the epoxy cured, we de-molded the blanks, jointed and planed everything square, and cut it to size on the table saw. We used two-part epoxy to glue it all together and sealed it with a clear lacquer for that final polished look. 💡 Quick Tip: The epoxy we used cured a little too fast for this type of project. Next time, we’ll definitely go with slow-cure epoxy (linked below), and if you’re working on a similar build, we recommend you do too! 👍 If you enjoyed this build, please like the video and drop a comment—we’d love to hear your thoughts! 🔔 Want to see more? The fumes and dust are no joke. 🎵 Music by C418 Track: Big Giant Circles https://soundcloud.com/c418 🛠️ Tools & Materials (Affiliate Links): - TotalBoat High Performance Resin (recommended): https://amzn.to/2lRn5JO - Two-Part Epoxy: https://amzn.to/2koeTAk - Black Diamond Pigments: https://amzn.to/2lQ8Jt7 📱 Follow Us: - YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/MakerinTraining - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MakerinTraing - Twitter: https://twitter.com/MakerInTraining - Patreon: https://www.Patreon.com/MakerinTraining Affiliate Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
