I restored the handle on an old Pampered Chef Mini Serving Spatula. I use this in the kitchen all the time with my cast iron cookware. The Process: I started by removing all the old pieces from the previous handle. I then found some pre-milled hardwood that was just the right width. I then cut a strip about one inch wide and about 6 inches long. I marked the depth that the tang would fit into the handle and cut a thin notch using a jigsaw. I then marked and drilled holes for retaining pins. I used old nails as the pins and cut them down to fit. I then used some five minute epoxy to secure everything together. Once the epoxy was dry, I sanded everything to a 180 grit. I finished it all off with butchers block oil. I have included links below to several of the items I used in this video.
