The Project: A Cocktail Serving bar for my Father-in-Laws 50th Birthday Party. The Process: I had a bunch of large pallets that had been broken down which included some 2x4 and 2X12 pieces. I was able to use the 2x4s to make the main structure of the bar. Once the structure was put together, I used the 2x12 to make the top serving portion. The entire thing was covers in pallet wood pieces. I used some ripped down pieces of pallet runner for the cross braces covering them with pallet wood pieces for the prep station in the back. I found a nifty drying rack at the convenience store that fit perfectly between the braces. It was all finished with stain and a coat of water based polyurethane. By burning the top and back pieces I was able to create more contrast in the un-stained wood pieces.
