This is my take on the Die Hard John Mcclane Vent Ornament using actual ductwork I had laying around. The Process: I started by finding a good high quality image of the scene in question. (Link to the image below) Once I found a suitable version, I decided to go for a stroll to the big box store. I used the one hour photo booth to get a good print. I then took some spare ductwork I had and maked out my fold lines and cut lines. I decided to fold all my cut edges so that there were no sharp edges when I was done. Once I folded everything, I punched some holes on the sides and used rivets to fasten them together. I then cut out the picture and poked a hole in the lighter to allow light to pass through. Once that was done, the only thing left was to fit the picture into the vent and place it on the tree. The hole for the light didn't really work right so you could skip that step if you trie to make this. I did not. Don't do what I did, you could cut yourself!
