Making a Puzzle Frame from Pallet Wood | Framing a Memory From our Honeymoon

This is a puzzle we put together during our honeymoon. My wife wanted a frame for it. I made this frame out of some pallet wood I had laying around. The Process: The puzzle already had a coat of puzzle saver solution on it so I skipped that step. I measured the puzzle and figured out what size boards I needed. I cut the pallet boards to size. I then glued the puzzle to a heavy cardboard to stiffen it up a bit. I used some dark black stain to color the wood before assembly. After letting the stain and glue dry, I cut the cardboard to size. I used metal brackets to secure the frame together. I had to pre-drill the holes for the screws since I was going into hardwood. the screws I got were cheap ones from the big box store and ended up braking a bunch of them. If you do this project, get the better screws. Once the frame was assembled, I stapled the puzzle top the back and added a hanger wire. I then hung the frame.
