This is a great Christmas present or birthday gift that is easy to make and doesn't take long. The chainmail ring is a simple and cheap handmade project. The Process: I bought some gold colored wire and purchased a pair of wire wrapping pliers to make this project easier. (Links below) Although the pliers are not necessary, it does make it a lot easier. I started with making the jump rings. If you flip the clippers around when cutting each ring, the cuts come out better. There is a link to a great video below that explained it well. I coiled the wire on a mandrel, a screw driver in my case, and then cut each coil to for a ring. Once I had all the rings, I opened them up a bit to make it easier to link them together. I linked the rings together following the instructions in the video by Celtic Dreams for the Full Persian 6 in 1 weave. (Link below) I only made the chain for the ring long enough to fit around my wife's finger. Once I had the right size, I simply completed the ring by closing the loop with the same weave. (It was hard and I didn't get it perfect so I had a hard time showing this in the video) If you enjoyed the video please give it a like and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
