I made a metal stainless steel bracelet using silverware I got at the local Goodwill. This is a very simple up-cycle project to make! The Process: I started by heading to my local Goodwill and picking up some forks. They cost me all of twenty cents each. You could always use ones out of your kitchen, but that's up to you. The first step in making this project involved flattening the piece to be worked. I attempted to punch a small dimple into the fork about where I wanted the eye to go. I guess the nail I was using was a little softer than the fork. I resorted to drilling instead. I then took the flattened piece and cut three of the tines off the fork leaving a little bit on each one. These bits will become the feet. I followed that by attempting to bend the last tine into shape. I was planning on making a very ornate bend and twist to make the trunk long and curly, but the metal was brittle and snapped when I tried to do it cold. I had to heat the bit that was leftover with a propane torch to get it to bend in to shape. I decided to file a little round into the end to make it look more like a trunk. I finished it all up but bending the main fork body into a bracelet shape and polishing it all up with some abrasive pads.
