Hey guys—this video is my first ever July TBR, and it’s basically my official “thriller books summer” list for July 2025 (aka Summerween). I’m sharing what I’m hoping to read this month, even though I already know myself… I’ll probably buy more books along the way. I talk about how I’ve gotten super into thrillers lately (which is wild because younger me was the girl who would threaten to call her parents if someone put on a scary movie at a sleepover). I think true crime totally desensitized me—probably bad, but here we are—and now I’m loving a good twisty thriller. I’m currently reading The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell and I’m already over 150 pages in. It feels super unique, it’s culty (in the most fascinating way), and I love when a house feels like a character in the story—very “American Horror Story” vibes. I also share more books on my July list: another Lisa Jewell (Breaking the Dark—Marvel crime with Jessica Jones), a Riley Sager pick (The Last Time I Lied, set at a summer camp), a couple palate-cleanser fantasies/romantasy reads, a Kristin Hannah historical fiction (The Four Winds), and I’m also starting Sunrise on the Reaping (the newest Hunger Games).
