About This Video

In today’s video I’m sharing my June 2025 reading wrap-up—everything I read this month, how I rated it, and what I’d actually recommend (and what I absolutely would not). This is a little different from my usual cleaning and decluttering content, but reading is something I genuinely love and I’m finally getting back into it in a big way. I’m a regular mom homeschooling four kids, and books have been such a good “reset your head” habit for me lately. This month was very thriller-heavy because I’m just getting into thrillers (I’ve always been fascinated by true crime, and I’m realizing I love twisty, psychological stories). My top reads were Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter (a five-star, possibly favorite-of-the-year contender) and The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides (another five-star—couldn’t put it down). I also talk through a YA thriller that was solid but still felt very YA to me, a couple books that were… not it (including a one-star worst read), and a book that was so close to perfect but had a few plot holes that kept it at 4.5 stars. I also give a quick update on my ACOTAR attempt as a 34-year-old mom (I pushed through, then pretty much DNF’d), and I tease what I’m currently reading and loving right now: The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell.
