After a super sweaty gym session, I’m really intentional about clearing out my pores and calming my skin down—especially because I deal with hormonal acne (it always pops up more when I’m close to my period) and I also get chest acne. In this video, I walk you through my full after-the-gym routine step by step, starting with a cleansing oil to melt away sweat, dirt, and impurities that can clog my pores. I also bring the oil down to my neck and chest because that’s a huge area for me when it comes to breakouts. Once I’m in the shower, I follow with a salicylic acid cleanser (0.5%) because it lathers nicely and helps clear pores and remove dead skin cells—exactly what I need after working out. From there, I go straight into soothing and barrier-friendly layers: a centella toner to calm irritation, then a lightweight vitamin C essence in the morning to help with dark spots, brightening, and antioxidant protection. I finish with a calming moisturizer that targets redness, then seal it all in with a lightweight SPF 50 serum sunscreen that layers well over skincare (and yes, I apply it to my eyelids and neck too).
