Today’s video is basically a little “day in the life” of me trying to become a makeup artist in Korea. I didn’t have class, but I still went in to practice (and honestly… the lighting + vanity setup is just perfect for filming). I also filmed a separate basics-style content where I go over base makeup, brows, and a super simple eyeshadow look—so if you want that more structured breakdown, make sure you follow so you don’t miss it. For this vlog though, I wanted to do something fun and push myself: I found a really pretty, colorful eye makeup look on Instagram and tried to recreate it even though I usually don’t wear colorful makeup. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone on purpose so I can learn faster and get feedback from my teachers. I also have to apologize to my skincare girlies because I used a makeup wipe to remove my makeup quickly between looks—yes, I know they’re not ideal, but I’m not about to wash my face 4–5 times a day. And before heading home, I stopped by Daiso because I’m on a mission to grab disposable mascara wands (and I got distracted by some really pretty false lashes).
