In this video I’m testing the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place foundation and… when it says “stay in place,” it means it. I got color matched online on Estée Lauder’s website (which I’ve literally never done before), and I’m honestly shocked at how perfect it turned out. The shade I’m wearing is 6W2 Nutmeg, and I swatch it, apply it with a brush, and compare one side of my face to the other so you can really see the coverage and finish. What I noticed right away: it has that classic foundation scent (it reminded me of a MAC foundation), it feels super lightweight but still buildable, and the coverage is amazing—especially if you’re like me and you have acne marks left behind from previous breakouts. The finish is very matte and very dry, so if you’re dry-skinned, I genuinely don’t think you’ll love it. I’m an oily girly through and through, but because I live in Stockholm, it’s actually a bit too drying for me right now—so I’m saving it for summer when it’s hot. It also oxidizes, so keep that in mind when you’re choosing your shade. Overall, I rated it an 8.5, but the online shade match being that accurate? That alone makes it feel like a 9.
