About This Video

In this video I’m showing you exactly how I get my 4C natural hair into a sleek low bun with no relaxer, no texturiser and no extensions—just my real, curly kinky coily hair. My hair is super coarse and I used to struggle to get that smooth, “no frizz” finish without straightening, so I’m breaking down the products and the little tricks that actually make it last all day. I also show you the tools I use (combs, an edge brush, and a bristle brush) because the brush you choose really does change the whole outcome. My routine is basically: lightly moisturise first, then go in with Eco Styler gel (I use the Argan Oil one), brush it back, and keep repeating gel + brush until every strand is going where I want it—especially the back/kitchen. Then I seal it with my all-time favourite edge control, the red Gummy Wax Ultra Hold, because that’s what gives me the strongest hold for the longest time. I pop on a scarf for about 30 minutes and when you take it off, the bun is sleek, laid, and honestly… delectable.
