I did this makeup tutorial in Swedish, and I’m starting exactly where I always start when my skin is acting up: correcting. I go in with an orange concealer first because I’ve had a lot of pimples that have left those darker marks—hyperpigmentation (some words I literally forget in Swedish, sorry). The goal here is to neutralize those dark spots before foundation, so the base looks smoother and more even instead of looking grey or ashy. After that I use my Kat Von D foundation in shade 078 (78). If you have a lot of scarring and you love a true full coverage base, this is honestly so good. I apply it with my Sigma F60 and I kind of “paint” it on—like actually painting—and I’m not even kidding, it feels like therapy to me. It makes me feel calm and safe, just in my own space. Then I brighten under my eyes with a lighter concealer (I think it was 5N) and I place it strategically—not all the way across—so I keep the most coverage where I need it. I blend from the bottom up and slightly outward to get that lifted, snatched finish.
