About This Video

When it comes to a home gym, a dedicated leg extension/leg curl setup is a staple for a lot of people—so in this video I tested a budget-friendly Amazon option: the HVO (HBO) Fitness 6-in-1 leg curl & extension machine. I walk you through what it can actually do in a small footprint: leg extensions, seated leg curls, lying leg curls, plus a preacher pad for curls, and even some “make it work” stuff like calf raises and using the pad for Bulgarian split squats. The big question I wanted to answer was simple: is it functional and is it safe for a home gym? I break down the adjustments that matter (seat position, thigh pad height, and that numbered 24-position dial) because those are what fix the range-of-motion issues—especially if you’re taller. Once I adjusted it correctly, I was able to get a legit stretch on extensions and an “incredible stretch” on curls. I’m also real about who this is for: it’s not for the commercialized meatthead trying to slam 3–4 plates on extensions. For beginners and budget lifters, though, it’s a lot of versatility for around 300 bucks, with an easy assembly (I did it in about 30 minutes) and plate storage to help weigh it down.
