About This Video

It’s been three months with the Echo Strength Depot all-in-one system in my garage, so in this video I’m doing a real update: did it stay smooth, did anything get sketchy, and is it STILL the best value all-in-one rack for a home gym budget. I break down how I actually use it week to week (cables get the most love), and I talk through what’s held up the same since day one—especially the functional trainer feel. The trolley/pulley setup is still smooth as butter, the dual 200 lb stacks are legit, and the little “window” on the uprights for matching height is a small thing that’s honestly a big convenience in a home gym. Then we get into the stuff people always nitpick: the 2:1 ratio and the Smith machine range of motion. I explain why skipping this rack over 2:1 is, in my opinion, a really dumb reason—because there are cheap, easy workarounds (straight bar across both trolleys, cable extenders, etc.). On the Smith side, I give you the simple hacks for RDLs and hip thrusts (plates to elevate, or other DIY options), and I cover storage, plate horns, and what I want Echo to improve next (more pegboard hooks, pivot/articulating arms, and a better lat pulldown hold-down solution). Bottom line: under $3K—and especially with my code—it’s still my top pick.
