ANCORE finally dropped the ANCOREX, and I got to test it (saw it at Home Gym Con first) and then ran it in my own garage gym for about a week and a half. This is my honest first look: unboxing, setup, how the sliding mount works on a 3x3 1-inch upright, and what it actually feels like to train on. And yeah… this thing looks like a giant grenade on an upright. It’s freaking huge, built like a tank, and the packaging + unboxing experience felt premium from the jump. The big takeaways are the dial-adjusted 5–80 lb resistance (super seamless for supersets), the smooth 1:1 feel, and the six-way roller system that lets you pull from different angles without chewing up the cable. The locking sliding mount is also a really smart design—if I let go, it stays, which is huge if you’ve ever forgotten to pin a trolley and had the “crash and burn” moment. It’s not cheap (over $1,000), but if you need commercial-grade durability and fast weight changes in a small space, the ANCOREX is a beast worth watching as I keep testing it.
