About This Video

Beautiful people, in this video I finally review The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins—because I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time. I walk you through what the theory actually is, how Mel sets it up with her own story (including the 5 Second Rule and how small daily steps changed her life), and why the core message is basically: stop wasting your energy on what you cannot control. The moment you start living around other people’s opinions, moods, and behaviour, you’re giving them power—so the practice is to say “let them” and take your power back. I also break down how the book is structured: it’s not really “lessons,” it’s chapters based on life scenarios—stress, friendships, comparison, boundaries, and control—where you can apply the theory. One part I think is crucial is that it’s not just “let them,” it’s also “let me.” After you let people do what they want, you still have to do your part: reflect, ask, set boundaries, take space, or choose better for yourself. My honest review: the writing is warm, relatable, and universal (I could literally give it to someone in Uganda and they’d relate), but it is repetitive, and I wish people-pleasing/validation was explored deeper. Overall, I rated it a 4 because it’s a solid, comforting book you can return to when you need the reminder.
