About This Video

On today’s Book Table I reviewed The 6 Minute Entrepreneur by Sara Davies (yes, the badass from Dragons’ Den). I went through what I learned, how you can apply it, and my honest opinion on whether it’s worth your time. The whole idea is simple: read one tiny lesson a day (literally six minutes), because the book is made up of 52 short lessons with key takeaways and a practical task at the end of each chapter. I shared lessons that stuck with me, like “small things can make a big difference” (treat vs investment), the 7/38/55 communication formula (words, tone, body language), and why nobody is above making the tea rounds if you want a healthy company culture. I also loved the parts about being flexible with your team’s real lives, recruiting for attitude over skills, and investing money into learning instead of just spending it. My overall take: this isn’t a “how to start a business from scratch” book—it’s a business manners book, and those small people-skills can make or break your business. I rated it 4 stars (and yes, I still hate paperbacks).
