Well, hello my fellow adventurers! In this video I’m unboxing the amazing Christmas collage activity book that Grabie sent me, and you can already tell it’s so pretty just from the sneak peek as I cut the box open. I flip through every single page so you can see exactly what’s inside—papers, stickers, and so many pages of washi tape. After the full flip through, I come back and do a journal with me spread using only pieces straight from the book. I’m working in my Christmas traveler’s notebook that I’ve had for several years (I love having something just for this season—Christmas is my second favorite time of year, because fall is still number one). I start with a pretty gold/vintage-feeling background, then build a cozy living room theme with a big Christmas tree, gift stickers, a rocking horse, a fireplace, a chair I cut out, garland/holly details, and a “Merry Christmas” sentiment. Along the way I talk about how a spread can change from what you pictured in your mind—and that’s one of the beautiful things about art and creativity.
