About This Video

Well, hello my fellow adventurers—today I’m taking you along for a cozy Bible journal with me session where I’m doing decorative inspiration, scripture reading, and note taking all in one place. I start in my monthly spread by filling in the lectionary readings from my Orthodox Christian church calendar, and I also block in the Nativity feast (since we celebrate Christmas on January 7th) and Theophany (Epiphany), that beautiful revelation of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at Christ’s baptism. I add a few Bible-themed stickers (yes—some are water bottle stickers!) because the prettier my pages are, the more I actually want to reference them. Then I move into my weekly spread and build a layout using what I have on hand—paper from my church bulletin for color, wide washi tape, and even a tea-dyed paper towel I made from a “this is too good to waste” moment. I share how I deal with messy glue sticks (poly eraser to the rescue), why I like adding little touches that make me want to come back to the page, and how I record notes from my Orthodox Study Bible alongside what I’m reading. The goal is simple: keep it faith-first, keep it usable, and make it inviting enough that I actually show up and seek God first every day.
