Goodbye, Angel ❤️ 12/13/17 - 11/12/24 🌈 The most difficult part about owning a pet is saying goodbye. Never have I thought to be making this post so soon nor are these ever easy to put together. Angel made her way into the guinea pig family December 13, 2017. She was one that I couldn’t think of a name for a while. Angel grew love and confidence through her younger years. August of 2019 her back legs became completely paralyzed with no explanation. Though they got stronger later on where she was able to put pressure on them, she was never going to walk normally again. This broke my heart but that didn’t stop Angel from living her life. Wrangler became apart of her life fully September 26, 2021 when they were bonded. These pigs were unstoppable and used each others happiness to thrive. August 28th of this year she stopped using one of her legs. I just gave her a little extra vitamin C and did some physical therapy and bicycled her legs. She was using it the next day. She then again stoped using her other back leg October 6. I did the same thing and it took an extra day to where she could walk on it. November 10th I noticed she was puffed up more than usual and wasn’t really eating or pooping. So I started syringe feeding her critical care and water with gas drops, a probiotic and more vitamin c. She wouldn’t even take pea flakes or the vitamin c that she loved. Angel went downhill November 11. She was cold so I tried to warm her up with a heat pad but nothing was working. I couldn’t sleep and stayed up with her until Tuesday morning at 1 am. Angel fell out of the snuggle sack and struggled to breathe. Angel passed in my arms around 1:15am. Angel, I couldn’t have asked for a better guinea pig to snuggle with as you really took pride in it. Your soft coos and presents will be missed. I love you so much Angel.
