In this video, I’m bringing you along for my real morning chores with my bedroom zoo. The very first thing I do is turn on all the lights—my fish tanks and the guinea pig lights—because it helps me get everyone on track for the day. Then I check who needs breakfast. On this day, the fish got frozen daphnia, and I also fed Ivy (with a nice thick worm he absolutely enjoyed… even if it took him a minute because I definitely grabbed the biggest one in the container). After that, I move on to my guinea pigs. I always start by saying hi to everyone (obviously) and then I spot clean their enclosures. Since it was Monday, I changed out the pee pads, and I’ll do their full clean tomorrow. Once they’re tidied up, I feed pellets and always add enrichment—lately they’ve been loving an Oxbow toy, and I also fill my Night Angel treat ball. Then I top everything off with fresh hay. And honestly, my favorite part is the time after chores: just sitting with them, watching them, and interacting, because I genuinely love seeing what they’re up to.
