Come along with me to celebrate Dip’s 3rd gotcha day. I start her day the same way I always do—by doing our morning routine and getting the guinea pigs spot cleaned first. I’m big on keeping things consistent for them, so even on a “special” day, I still make sure their space is fresh and everyone’s set up for a comfy, calm morning. After the spot clean, I make myself some coffee and then come back up to grab Dip and a little treat so we can watch a show together. This day is really about slowing down and just being with her—because she’s growing up way too quickly. Dip is my first skinny pig (aka Dippers, Dippy Dip, potato, sweet potato, house hippo, and chicken nugget), and her gotcha day always makes me extra emotional. I also take time to honor and remember Willow and my soul pig Ginger, because they deserve to be celebrated right alongside her.
