This kit is meant to keep you calm and prepared while you’re getting ready to contact your exotic vet, not to replace professional care. I cover essentials like nail clippers plus styptic powder/cornstarch for nail trim accidents, oral syringes (1 ml, 3 ml, and 10 ml) for meds/water/critical care, a digital scale for weekly weigh-ins (because weight loss is often the first sign), and critical care for when a pig stops eating. I also talk about probiotics (Benebac-style) and why I learned the hard way to support the gut during antibiotics, gas drops for short-term bloat support, and warmth tools like a Snuggle Safe-style heat disc for cold or lethargic pigs—especially during winter vet trips. I also go over wound-care basics (saline, gauze, vet wrap) and what not to use, like hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol.
