Goodbye, Wrangler ❤️ 3/14/21 - 10/8/25 I wish I was writing this as an April fools joke because there are no words that can capture how I feel right now. It all happened so suddenly, and I’m still in shock. Wranglers backstory is rough. He was rescued from Petsmart from being stuck in a hay-ball and was breathing heavily. So we obviously went to tell an employee however it too three employees to be able to make sure he was okay. This one guy shoved the cage out and almost hit me and my family with it and shook him out of the hay-ball, he fell like jello. We talked it over at dinner and we went back the next morning as soon as they opened. Wrangler ended up with pneumonia and ringworm and my mom forced Petsmart to pay for his vet bills which were over $500. Once he was healthy, he was scheduled to be neutered and once neutered he was bonded instantly with Angel. Him and Angel became the best pair and his spark, lifted up my little senior. I went to a concert last night so I was exhausted so I woke up and just went down stairs to have coffee and watch a show. I went back up to spot clean them and I've been holding him and Dip together because they've been feisty through the bars so I'd thought holding them would help. It was for sure helping. But then when I was spot cleaning, he was laying down so I was like ok and continued cleaning but I turned around again and saw Dip wonder and him still there and I went to pick him up and he was like jello. I called my mom and texted her frantic because at that point I couldn’t cry. I was in complete shock. He was having a hard time breathing and seemed uncomfortable and just passed on my hand so quickly. I have never meet a guinea pig as happy as you were. Your endless energy, adorable face and spunky personality will be missed. It hasn’t hit me fully but I’m sure it will soon. You were taken too soon— four years wasn’t enough. You were my first male piggy and I will never forget the ride home. I love you so much my sweet boy.
