About This Video

Hey loves. In this vlog I’m finally doing an errand I’ve been excited about for so long — I went to WoodShark Ventures in Industrial Area (SMK Business Center, Enterprise Road) to get the exact chairs I’ve been hunting for. If you’ve watched me do Taraji’s bedroom, you already know this Ames chair has been my headache because I wanted it in pink and I refused to compromise. When I got there and saw the pink options (including the mesh one I wanted for myself), I literally screamed because it felt like “today is my day” — imported pieces, so if you miss, you miss. I also take you around the showroom to show you the kind of quality and variety they have: kids’ desks with chairs, dining sets that can sit a family of six, coffee tables, wardrobes, cabinets, office chairs, and even vanity/dressing tables that were honestly way more affordable than having something made. Then we get home and I surprise Taraji with her chair (because she’s been using a stool and it wasn’t good for her back), and I set up mine in my bedroom so I can finally do my skincare and makeup without carrying my whole table to the living room. And of course, I still give you real-life Nairobi struggles: Bolt drivers were on strike, and I even had a whole rant about fermented milk brands changing consistency. Soft living, but make it realistic.
