If you’ve ever needed to clean up a column of text in Excel—maybe names, product titles, or IDs—and make everything the same letter case, this quick tutorial will help. Hi, my name is Limon and in this video, I’ll show you how to convert an entire column to uppercase or lowercase using a couple of simple Excel formulas. We’ll start by using the UPPER function to turn all the text into uppercase, and I’ll show you how to quickly apply the formula to the entire column using the fill handle. Then we’ll do the same thing with the LOWER function to convert text into lowercase. I’ll also walk you through one final step that lets you replace the original data with the corrected text using Paste Special, so you end up with clean values instead of formulas. It’s a simple Excel trick, but it can save you a lot of time when organising or formatting large lists of text. Once you see how easy it is, you’ll probably use it all the time.
