Some may be from valid accounts other times it may be a third-party account. Many brands reach out to social media users regularly in hopes to have them join an ambassador program or try to get them to become an affiliate. Other times they are looking for reviews. Common messages: Some of the comment messages from brands via social media may be the following: DM us for a collab. Other comments are similar. You may also be sent a random DM from a brand or a third-party account stating they work with said brand. Most try to be friendly some even try to flatter you. Even with that, the requests are the same. They usually ask if you would like to become an ambassador or offer a discount code for you to share with your followers. The brand may also state you can save a percentage off orders along with earn a percentage of a sale too. Brands may range from clothing to jewelry. Is it spam or a scam? Sometimes these are brands from overseas. Other times they may just be new brands that are trying to expand their sales. One thing you can do is search for the brand name. If something comes up read reviews about them. If a brand is new you may not find much about them aside from their website or social media profiles. I'm not saying all brands are scams but it's always better to be safe.
