My parents recently purchased the CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Hedge Trimmer ( Model #CMCHT810). The trimmer has a 20-inch blade and runs on a 20-volt battery. This particular model was sold as the Trimmer only. But there is a battery-included model as well. The trimmer is easy to use and handle. It includes a blade cover, handle, and blade guard. The battery attaches at the base of the unit. The trimmer has a lock button for safety. The trigger handle is easy to press. You can also set the lock button for continuous running. When trimming a hedge, you can start from the sides and work upward. You can also trim straight across or up to a 15-degree angle. So far, I've found it easy to use. I trimmed a rosemary bush and a few other plants for my mom. I also trimmed a few thin branches of our Pomegranate tree. If the trimmer gets tangled or hits a thicker branch, it stops and has a red light on the handle that lights up. It also beeps.
