About This Video

Hey my Lovelies 🤍 In this video I’m having a proper catch-up about my “choosing joy” journey and what it’s really been like trying to slow down. I’ll be honest with you — it hasn’t been easy. When you’ve spent years rushing around, keeping all the plates in the air and trying to make sure everyone else is alright, it feels strange to suddenly pause. Even when I try to rest, I’ve had that little guilty voice telling me I should be doing something, like resting isn’t allowed or isn’t productive. I share what’s been helping me though, because it’s been a real turning point. I’m saying no more often, protecting my energy, and leaving actual space in my day instead of booking every minute. I’ve even had to put rest in my diary (yes, really) and I’m getting better at cutting my day off at a certain time. I’m also learning I can miss a phone call here and there, and the world won’t fall apart. Most importantly, I’m making time for the small things that bring me joy — quiet walks, a cup of tea in peace, reading, adult colouring, and sitting down to eat properly instead of grabbing breakfast on the go.
