This one’s a tough video to make. Last week we had to say goodbye to a dear friend, Frederic Adriaens, who sadly took his own life. I wanted to talk about it openly because it got me thinking about my own mental health, and how esk8 has genuinely helped me through some rough patches. I’m not here pretending a board “fixes” everything, but for me it’s been a real outlet—something that gets me outside, gives me a focus, and connects me with people who get it. More than anything, this is a reminder that you’re not alone, even when it feels like you are. If you’re struggling, please reach out—friends, family, or even community members online.
