We just got back from our honeymoon in Hawaii, and I’m taking you along for our full Waikiki experience—starting with our stay at Alohilani Resort right by the beach. After a long 8-hour flight, walking into our room and seeing the ocean view with Diamond Head behind the city seriously blew us away. One of my favorite parts was how beautiful the sunsets were—every night we either sat on our balcony or headed down to the pool and bar to watch the sky change. During our stay, we had access to the Longboard Club, and it was the best because it came with complimentary sherry, wine, and beer at night, plus breakfast and coffee in the mornings (we ate there every single day). We also did a mix of relaxing and exploring: pool days at the Swell pool and bar, shopping (the mall is literally a block away), and fun nightlife with live DJs/music at the resort. For excursions, we visited Pearl Harbor (Jack really wanted to go, and it ended up being one of my favorite days too), snorkeled (not my fave because I felt claustrophobic, plus it was rainy and murky—but we saw dolphins, a seal, and turtles!), and hiked Diamond Head, which was pretty easy and so worth it for the views. We ended our trip with a Christmas-decorated cabana pool day, and it honestly felt like the perfect way to wrap up our honeymoon—Romans 8:28, always.
