About This Video

In this Newport, Rhode Island travel vlog, I’m sharing my exact weekend itinerary for the most relaxing East Coast summer trip. We drove in from Vermont and kept day one super easy—walking around Bowen’s Wharf, popping into Kiel James Patrick (I grabbed a yellow sea sweater that’s perfect for chilly ocean nights), and grabbing a quick lunch at The Lobster Bar. We checked into The Pell (truly a hidden gem—homey, away from the downtown crowds, but still close to everything) and then headed to dinner at the Lawn Terrace at Castle Hill Inn. You’ll want to reserve months in advance, but it was so worth it—one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time, with the most breathtaking sunset views. Day two was our big walking day: a slow morning in robes (always ask for robes when you travel—it makes everything feel more luxurious), breakfast with the hotel dining credit, then the Cliff Walk and Vanderbilt mansion tours. I recommend doing those on the same day because the Cliff Walk is basically in the mansions’ backyard. We toured The Breakers and The Marble House self-guided so we could take our time, and I’m officially obsessed. We ended the trip with more downtown exploring and coffee, and honestly… I really, really didn’t want to leave. I’ve never felt so relaxed, and the food was genuinely my favorite part of the whole weekend.
