Hey y’all, it’s Lauren, and in this video I’m finally doing my first hair video in a very long time. I haven’t done one in years—basically since my hair started growing back after chemo—so this one felt extra special. I’m walking you through my super simple, at-home “Drybar blowout” routine that I’ve been doing a lot lately because I genuinely love how it turns out. It only takes a few products, and it’s an easy way to feel put together without having to actually go to Drybar. I start by sharing the hair products I reach for all the time—my go-to brands are Drybar, Moroccanoil, and Amika. Then I show you exactly how I prep (one pump of Moroccanoil so everything glides better, plus heat protectant and smoothing sealant), how I use my Amika blow dryer brush, and how I set everything with Drybar rollers. I focus most on the front and face-framing pieces, and I’ll usually let the rollers sit anywhere from a few minutes to an hour (or even longer if I’m doing my makeup). At the end, I’ll use frizz/static control and hairspray, and I’ll show you how to make the curls swoop in toward your face—or out, if that’s your vibe.
